Children carry the hopes of our brighter tomorrow and the dreams of our happy future.
8 of 10 children daily are traumatized by physical, emotional and sexual abuses or by caregivers who neglected them, making child abuse as common as it is. Child abuse has many negative impact on child, and we all should put a stop to it.
Only few are bold and courageous enough to share there stories ’cause they are tired of dying in silence and according to experts, it’s reduce the pain they are going through. It’s also prevent other children from falling victim of such horrible incidents. Many are dying in silence and pains and horrible thought like commiting suicidal went through their mind.
Hence, we should note that every child deserve a safe setting, somewhere they can feel safe without suffering from abuse. If you report a child abuse case as often as it occurs, the act will be eradicated sooner than we thought. Matt Blunt said and I quote “Child Abuse and Neglect offends the basic values of our state”
Another Author named Kenny Guinn said ” I believe the best service to the child is the service closest to the child and the children who are victims of neglect, abuse or abandonment, must not also be a victims of bureaucracy.” This quotations indicate that every child surrounding us deserve our devoted attention, not our divided attention. Child abuse is not limited only to sexual abuse or harsement. It could be emotional as well. For this reason, do not neglect your child, no matter the circumstances. They need attention and love. Furthermore, when a parent love his/her child and any kids in our vicinity, it teaches them how to love. Loving a child is spreading love to the world……… We do what’s best for the child around us and not what’s convenient for us because they are the future and our hope.
Finally, please listen to your child today, don’t pressurize them, let the process happens naturally . Each child has a specific talents and skills, they will discover it sooner when you encourage them and not when you compare them with other kids. Don’t let them feel less worthy. Buttressing the above point with a quote by Heather McClane, when he said: “the only reason why abuse is alive today is because we as adults fail our children when we fail to listen to them.”
I still can’t imagine what would make an adults use violence against a child, and the worst the behavior is, the more unimaginable it seems. Whether the abuse is rooted in the perpetrator’s mental illness or inability to cope, the psychological result for each abused child is often the same; the deep emotional scars, feeling of worthlessness, anger, revenge and depression to mention but a few.
Many Children have rights like anyone else and should be free from exploitation and abuse.
Wishing children all over the world a very enjoyable children’s day.
