STOP OSTRACING SOUTHPAWS, THEY ARE GREAT PEOPLE!

In your life journey, no matter how short.. i’m sure you must have come across a southpaw. But is it really true that left-handers are more likely to be geniuses?  Lefties generally lead more stressful lives because they’re existing in a world meant for right-handed people and the belief that there is a link between talent and left-handedness has a long history which I won’t be discussing today rather I will be discussing some things that actually give lefties — you guessed it — the upper hand.
The Uniqueness of been Left Handed.

  1. Remembering
This may have to do with the way lefties use their brains, but it definitely makes their memory special. The explanation is that the two brain hemispheres of left-handers are more strongly connected.
I bet you this peculiarity does not have to do with age cause 2year old lefty has lead me to a road where I have walked twice or more than but still couldn’t remember my way back home.
  2. While it’s not always easy: the challenges can make them stronger. Although lefties grow up to cherish their creativity but they do find it difficult to live in a right-handed world. Left handed are deprived of lot of amenities but yet the deprivation make them stronger and they love been different. Some times I wish am left handed because I love being different and unique too. Having to overcome obstacles, and always challenging yourself, ultimately makes you a stronger person. I am right handed but I credits lefties for their creative spirit.
  3. Lefties often learn to be ambidextrous :
Ambidexterity is the ability to use both the right and left hand equally well. But it’s also true that ambidextrous people tend to do better in sports, arts, and music.
  4. They’re highly adaptable : Hats off to your flexibility, intrepid lefties cause nearly all instruments and machines have been built by and for right-handed people. That means left-handers have had to adapt to less-than-ideal circumstances throughout their whole lives.
  5. They are a great conversation starter : My niece who is a lefty once told me all her toasters started their conversations with how conveniently do you use your right hand to wash your butt? and that conversations lead to friendship and friendship moves to a stronger and only God knows what happened next.
  6. They’re better at sports
Lefties can swing: they can left hook and can adapt quickly to unexpected situations in sports. In fact, if you have a left-handed child you should encourage them to play table tennis, baseball and cricket to maximise their chances of sporting success.
  7. Always in good company:
Half of the US presidents since the end of World War II, including Harry Truman, Gerald Ford, Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Barack Obama, which is fairly remarkable when you consider that only 10 percent of the population is left-handed. Oh, and some of the world’s biggest epic entertainers, movers and shakers are proud members of the left-handers’ club Mark Zuckerberg, Justin Bieber, Albert Einstein, Bill Gates, Henry Ford, Oprah Winfrey, Steve Jobs, and , just to name a few.
  8. Being left-handed is more common in twins :Research have it that 21 percent of twins are left-handed but am yet to come across a left handed twin despite having a lot of twins around me (Maybe I need to conduct my own research and write about my finding). Hit us up with your comment and let start from there.
  9. They’re not necessarily right-brained : Most right-handed and left-handed people use the left hemisphere of the brain to process language and information. It’s a common myth that lefties are right-brained and more creative and artistic than righties.

This writeup is in honor of those underserved, underappreciated group that’s just amazing at adapting to the circumstances, Don’t ostracize left handers. GOD loves us all– no matter which hand we use.
